A recent report from Florian Plettenberg suggests that Barcelona midfielder Jamal Musiala is keen to make his return to the pitch for the upcoming match against Barcelona on Wednesday evening.

After missing the previous game against Stuttgart due to issues with his hip joint, Musiala is working diligently to regain his fitness.

Previously, it was indicated that Musiala had not yet fully recovered from his hip injury. However, following his absence from the Stuttgart match, there is a growing sense of optimism surrounding his potential comeback.

Musiala has struggled recently

Earlier this month, Musiala was also forced to withdraw from the German national team due to this persistent hip problem. His last appearance for Bayern Munich was during a challenging 0-1 defeat against Aston Villa, where his contribution was notably missed.

Subsequently, he was also sidelined during an exciting 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, which raised further concerns about his physical condition.

Just a few days ago, Musiala took part in a training session, focusing on exercises without the ball under the careful guidance of a physiotherapist.

During this session, he engaged in light exercises for approximately 15 minutes. Despite these efforts to regain his fitness, he ultimately could not participate in the match against Stuttgart on Saturday.

The decision regarding Musiala’s participation in the match against Barcelona will depend on his performance in the upcoming training sessions. His availability is crucial, especially considering the intensity of the upcoming match.

It is clear that the German fitness will be monitored closely in the days leading up to the game, as his return to full training is essential for Bayern Munich’s strategy in their next round of fixtures.

Meanwhile, Bayern are certain to be without their key midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic, who has been sidelined after suffering a fractured collarbone, ruling him out until the end of November.
