‘Best PL RB ever’ ‘Gonna miss you’: ex-teammates react as Walker joins Milan | OneFootball

Kyle Walker has officially joined Milan from Manchester City and has received several messages from his former teammates, including one from Eric Dier: ‘Best Premier League right-back ever.’

Walker’s move to Milan may not be one of the most expensive deals in the 2025 January window but it is surely one of the biggest transfers of the month.

The 34-year-old has made history at the Etihad Stadium, winning six Premier League titles and one Champions League, among other trophies.

Many of his former Tottenham and Manchester City teammates reacted to his Milan move on social media. Among them were Eric Dier, an ex-Spurs midfielder now at Bayern Munich, and Jeremy Doku, a Manchester City winger.

The latter commented on Walker’s Instagram message for Manchester City, writing: ‘I’m gonna miss you bro.’ Dier added: ‘Best PL RB ever.’

Danilo, an ex-Manchester City defender who recently terminated his contract with Juventus to join Flamengo in Brazil, wrote under the same post: “Legend, my friend.”

Ilkay Gundogan, Kalvin Phillips and Ruben Dias also virtually said goodbye to their ex-teammate, who is on the verge of starting a new chapter of his career at San Siro.
