Napoli are already working to strengthen their team for 2025-26 and have targeted several stars beyond Kevin De Bruyne.

The Partenopei will have a considerable transfer budget available this summer, given that money from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s sale hasn’t been reinvested yet and that Victor Osimhen will also leave in the summer for at least €75m.

Napoli director Giovanni Manna has confirmed the club are close to signing De Bruyne as a free agent, but the Belgian will only be the first reinforcement for a team returning to the Champions League in 2025-26.

As reported by Gazzetta, the primary targets in defence are Bologna’s Sam Beukema and Udinese’s Oumar Solet. The latter is slightly ahead in the Napoli pecking order as Aurelio De Laurentiis is unwilling to match Bologna’s €25m asking price for Beukema.

De Bruyne will naturally add quality and depth to central midfield, but Ajax’s Kenneth Taylor remains on Napoli’s agenda, especially if Franck Anguissa leaves.

Antonio Conte will also be looking for attacking reinforcements, and according to the report, the men topping Manna’s shopping list are Noa Lang (PSV), Edon Zhegrova (Lille), and Kang-in Lee (PSG).

Jonathan David remains on Napoli’s radar as well. Corriere dello Sport reported earlier this week that the Canada international had reached an agreement with the Partenopei, but according to Gazzetta, there are other European clubs still involved in the race.
