Warren Bondo is a name that has been familiar to AC Milan for a number of years, but the midfielder only moved to Milano in January.

We have to go to the second division of France to first find the links to Bondo, where the Frenchman was playing as a winger after signing a professional contract as the youngest ever to do so. In the years that passed, Milan and Moncada kept their tabs before moving as a result of Ismael Bennacer’s departure.

Things moved very quickly in the deal – though it needed to – however, the midfielder’s entourage quickly headed to Casa Milan after information about a deal potentially happening came to light, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, his uncle Malu Mpasinkatu – who is a part of the Frenchman’s entourage – spoke to Radio Firenze Viola about the move to Milan and the other interested parties in the youngster – Milan Press have relayed his words.

“Great credit must be given to Monza and Dr. Galliani who believed in him. At AC Milan, director Moncada had been following him for some time, since the age of 12. This marriage had been in the air for a few years, but it came about at the right time.

“There were also other teams interested. Fiorentina? They were following him. Palladino having had him at Monza already knew him. But there was only an interest, no formal offer ever arrived.”
