Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen find out their Champions League round of 16 opponents | OneFootball

After qualifying for the round of 16 on Tuesday and Wednesday, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund joined Bayer Leverkusen in the pots for the next round.

For the fourth and fifth time this season, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich will meet with one another in the Champions League round of 16. The first leg will be played on the fourth or fifth of March at the Allianz Arena before a week later the second leg will be played at the BayArena.

Leverkusen’s run of games in that period sees them play Frankfurt (A), Bayern (A), Werder Bremen (H), Bayern (H) and Stuttgart (A). While Bayern faces Stuttgart (A), Leverkusen (H), Bochum (H), Leverkusen (A), Union Berlin (A). This period of games could end or open up the title race once again.

Whoever progresses will face the winner of Feyenoord vs Inter Milan.

Dortmund will travel to host Lille in the first leg before travelling to Northern France for the second leg. With the way that Dortmund have been playing recently and the form of Lille in the Champions League, this will be a difficult game for die Schwarzgelben.

If Dortmund beat Lille, they will face either Benfica or Barcelona.

If the German teams make it to the semi-finals they will then play one another, so Dortmund would play either Leverkusen or Bayern.
