Borussia Mönchengladbach identify Lilian Brassier as a target for the summer | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach have identified central defender Lilian Brassier has a transfer target for the summer.

The defender is currently on loan from Brest at Marseille. His contract in Brittany expires in 2026. The 25-year-old has played 10 times for Marseille this season as he has recently faced a spell on the bench. However, last season, Brassier played an integral role in Brest’s Champions League qualification.

Brassier is one of several defenders on the list for Gladbach as they prepare for the potential departures of both Ko Itakura and Nico Elvedi. The pair have consistently been linked with moves away from Borussia Park for at least the past 18 months, but they have stayed put despite the interest from elsewhere.

It is likely that Bochum’s Bernardo is also on Gladbach’s list of central defenders. The Brazilian has been linked with Gladbach in the past and his contract at the Ruhrstadion expires in the summer. The same can be said for Copenhagen defender Kevin Diks.
