Cafès Cornellà has become the new sponsor of Girona FC. The Club and the Girona-based company have signed a two-year partnership.
Thanks to this agreement, Cafès Cornellà becomes the supplier of all the bars in the stadium, the corporate hospitality areas and also the coffee consumed in the different facilities of the Club, players, coaching staff and workers.
Girona FC will also take part in a new edition of the Cafès Cornellà League, which kicks off on 15 October. To participate, users must download a 9+1 wallet card that can be used in any of the cafés participating in the league to score lots of coffees and win lots of prizes.
Company and territory
For a season as special as this one for Girona, the Club has wanted to make its links with the territory more evident and a clear case in point is this agreement with Cafès Cornellà, a family business from Girona founded in 1920.
Girona FC president Delfí Geli welcomed Cafès Cornellà, noting that “a leading company in its sector and also from Girona is particularly satisfying for us”. “We want to have a strong presence of home companies in a historic moment for the Club that we want to share with them”, added Geli.
For the general manager of Cafés Cornellà, Pere Cornellà, this partnership “represents identifying ourselves with a city project, with a project that means being in the showcase of the visualisation of the whole world and that does not stop achieving successes and good results”. The head of the company adds that “we, as Girona's café, feel very close to this partnership, especially because it is a project based on excellence”.
