Celtic FC Women sign former Sweden U-23 winger Emma Westin from Hammarby on a deal until the summer of 2026.
Westin spent four years at Hammarby, gaining Champions League experience and also played in a pre-season friendly against Celtic last summer.
She helped the Swedish side to a domestic double in 2023 and progress to the UWCL group stage for the first time.
Westin told celticfc.com: “It feels incredible to have signed for Celtic!
“It’s such a big club, and just being around here and walking around all the facilities is amazing. I’m really happy to be here!
“I moved to the US when I was 18 and spent four years in college there before I officially signed for Hammarby.
Head Coach, Elena Sadiku added: “We are really happy that Emma chose to sign with us.
‘She believes in our project and what we want to achieve going forward.’
“Emma is a player that gives everything for the team. Her physicality and her technical abilities will help us both offensively and defensively.”
