As we head towards the business end of the season, Celtic's focus is very clear. They need to get over the finish line in the Premiership title race. As things stand, they are 13 points clear at the top despite losing the recent Glasgow Derby. On the other hand, the Hoops are also in the semis of the Scottish Cup. So, a domestic treble is well and truly on the cards for Brendan Rodgers' side.
Of course, not all clubs are looking to win titles at this point in the season. Some are just hoping to avoid relegation.
One of them is Dunfermline Athletic, who are currently ninth in the Scottish Championship. That has led to them making a change in the managerial hot seat, with a Celtic legend coming in to help steer the ship to safety.
On the club's official website, Dunfermline Athletic announced the appointment of Neil Lennon as First Team Manager. He has been brought in on an initial short term deal, until the end of the season.
Of course, Lennon has enjoyed a ton of success as a manager at a higher level than the Championship. Nobody can deny the number of trophies that he won while at Celtic, even though the ending to his time at Parkhead might have been bitter.
He would also go on to win silverware with Omonia Nicosia. But his time in Cyprus did not prove to be a long one.
Lennon's last stint came at Rapid Bucharest and it was not a success by any stretch of the imagination. He was there for only six games and did not manage to win any of them. One can only hope that his most recent stint proves to be much better than that.
