Chelsea currently over-pricing a simple loan move that will annoy the player today | OneFootball

Chelsea play football later on tonight and it is the worst possible timing because it is a transfer deadline day as well.

Players in the squad who want to be leaving will be looking for moves to get today still before the game starts, and that is not a good build up for the game tonight.

I’d be shocked if Axel Disasi is in the squad tonight whatever happens, because he is a player who wants out and a player who has been speaking to clubs today to try and sort a new move away from Chelsea. He has been linked with both Tottenham and Aston Villa.

But before we get into that…

There is lots of little bits and pieces going on right now on another winter transfer deadline day, and the movement of Joao Felix could effect other moves and situations. Felix could still join AC Milan this window.

Chelsea were looking to sign midfielder Nico O’Reilly from Manchester City this window but even that attempt looks to have dwindled away now, with attentions turning elsewhere.

Disasi being held back

It looks like the centre back wants to join Aston Villa today before the deadline is up, but Chelsea are currently over-pricing his proposed loan move there, which is not going to sit well with the player.

The Athletic are reporting that Aston Villa are increasingly unlikely to sign Axel Disasi from Chelsea. Doubts over the conditions for Disasi, which include a loan fee. Villa view the overall package as too expensive and are prepared to wait for the centre back that Unai Emery wants.
