Chelsea recall French forward Ribadeira from Paris FC loan | OneFootball

Chelsea have opted to recall French forward Louna Ribadeira from her loan spell at Paris FC.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.

The 20-year-old joined Chelsea from Paris FC in the summer and signed a four-year deal with the South West Londoners. She was immediately loaned back to her former club for the 2024/2025 season, however, it has today been confirmed that Ribadeira has returned to Chelsea ahead of schedule.

Ribadeira made just two appearances for Paris FC in the first half of the season, scoring in the club’s 4-0 victory over Dijon prior to the Christmas break. The player spent the majority of the first half of the season battling a knee injury.

The forward’s next development plan is not yet known. Ribadeira could now fight for minutes at Chelsea in the second half of the season or The Blues could consider a further loan move to allow the player to continue to rebuild her match sharpness.

Ribadeira is one of the brightest young players to come out of the French club game in recent years. She was the Arkema Première Ligue’s Young Player of the Year last season and has a huge future ahead of her.
