Chelsea are reportedly set to battle Tottenham, West Ham, Brentford, and Leeds United for a new defender on their radar.

The Blues will be looking to potentially bring in a couple of new players in the next transfer window, one of them could be a new centre back.

EXCLUSIVE! Agents are touting a couple of big name Chelsea players to other clubs!

But they are also being linked with other positions as well, including at the full back position and in this instance, left back.

Chelsea already have Marc Cucurella, Renato Veiga, and Ben Chilwell of course. But the latter never plays and has been well and truly forced out by the club and head coach Enzo Maresca, and Veiga often plays more as a centre back or a defensive midfielder, and also still looks quite raw despite his huge potential.

Maresca’s side are now being linked with a new left back, one of whom they recently played against in the Europa Conference League.

Chelsea keen on Brown

Brown scores for Gent

Gent left-back Archie Brown is on the radar of West Ham, Tottenham, Chelsea, Brentford and Leeds ahead of the January transfer window, TEAMtalk have reported this week.

Chelsea have apparently previously watched Brown and are said to be keeping tabs on him from a distance.

The other clubs mentioned as interested are being touted as more likely than Chelsea at the moment and much more keen than The Blues, but Chelsea’s name is still in there.

Sounds like a bit of a nonstarter in terms of Chelsea interest at least, but it might be an intriguing one to keep an eye on and it’s clear Chelsea have watched him previously.

I thought he looked OK when he played against us, but nothing amazing. But then I cannot judge a player just from watching him play one game. I’m sure there is big reasons as to why he is receiving all of this interest.
