Chelsea make the short trip across the capital to face Arsenal in the Premier League this afternoon.

Enzo Maresca’s side have won back-to-back games to boost their hopes of Champions League qualification. Coupled with a midweek win over Copenhagen to secure Europa Conference League progress, the Italian will hope his side have come through a challenging period. The Blues had won just two of their previous 10 in the Premier League.

Chelsea can move within three points of Arsenal with a win, but have a poor recent record in this fixture. The West Londoners have beaten Arsenal just once in the last 11 meetings across all competitions.

Chelsea team news

Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Robert Sanchez will start in goal. Dropped from the side last month, Filip Jorgensen’s failure to claim the number one role has seen the former recalled. Sanchez kept a clean sheet in the win over Leicester last week and Maresca will stick with the Spaniard.

Chelsea remain without Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke and Marc Guiu due to hamstring injuries, alongside the suspended Mykhailo Mudryk. Malo Gusto will be assessed after missing the last two games with an ankle complaint.

Chelseapredicted lineup

Chelsea predicted XI: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku; Neto.
