Chelsea XI vs Nottingham Forest – Predicted lineup and team news

The Football Faithful

Chelsea travel to Nottingham Forest on the final day in a shootout for Champions League qualification.
A win for Chelsea will be enough to secure a place in next season’s competition, given their vastly superior goal difference to Aston Villa. However, defeat could see Chelsea drop as low as seventh in the table.
Nottingham Forest currently hold that position and still retain hopes of Champions League football. Nothing but a win will do for Forest, who also require Newcastle or Aston Villa to drop points. It’s perfectly poised at the City Ground.
Enzo Maresca continues to be without Nicolas Jackson, who is suspended after his red card against Newcastle. However, his attacking options have been improved by the availability of both Christopher Nkunku and Marc Guiu.
Nkunku is expected to replace Tyrique George in the side, despite an imminent exit from Chelsea at the end of the campaign. Jadon Sancho is also available again after missing the win over Manchester United. The on-loan winger was ineligible against his parent club.
Mykhailo Mudryk continues to serve a provisional suspension for a failed doping test, while Wesley Fofana is out with a thigh issue.
Chelsea predicted XI: Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Nkunku.
The Premier League’s final found of fixtures takes place on Sunday May 25th 2025. Kick-off in each fixture is 4pm BST.
