Chelsea’s confusing striker pursuit this summer is right now just bringing contrasting reporting and completely different profiles.

This news comes after Chelsea got a vital three points on Friday night against Manchester United in what was a crucial win for the race for Champions League football next season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea hold talks with new striker after his talks with Manchester United did not go well!

One Chelsea legend Gary Cahill was at the match and he has hailed one key player in the game as being one of the best in Europe after his influence on the match.

Cahill wasn’t the only one praising this player as well, with team mate Pedro Neto joining in and picking up on the character of the Chelsea hero from Friday night.

Chelsea will now move on to their final league game of the season next weekend away at Nottingham Forest, and it’s another game they have to win the secure Champions League qualification.

Weird reporting

One day we are hearing Liam Delap is the priority, then we are hearing Benjamin Sesko could be the guy, then Victor Osimhe is still being linked as well, and then we get a random report about Joao Pedro being wanted by Chelsea. Then add another one in that, Hugo Ekitike, who Chelsea are apparently very keen on as priority now.

So what on earth is going on?

These are all completely different profiles, so what do Chelsea actually want? Do they want a true number 9 target man style striker? Do they want someone a bit more like Alexander Isak? Or do they not care about the profile and just want a good name in the door?

It’s all so contrasting and differing, and Chelsea fans are confused.
