City to wear 2025/26 kit at World Sevens | OneFootball

Manchester City will wear our new 2025/26 home kit for the very first time in our World Sevens opener against FC Rosengard.

The Blues face the Swedish champions at 17:00 (UK) in the opening match of the inaugural seven-a-side tournament, taking place in Lisbon.

CITY AT WORLD SEVENS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

With a reduced number of players and pitch size, as well as no offsides, the 30-minute fixtures are sure to promise plenty of attacking action.

City face Dutch giants Ajax and German champions Bayern Munich in our other group fixtures, both being played on Thursday 22 May, with further knockout ties to follow on Friday should we finish in the top two.

It's sure to be an exciting tournament, and the Blues will don our 2025/26 home kit, sporting the iconic sash, for the very first time during it.

For the first time in the Club’s history, the home kit features the famous ‘sash’ – the diagonal stripe design made iconic on previous City away days.

First introduced on kits in the 1970s and worn by club greats such as Mike Summerbee, Colin Bell, Francis Lee and Tony Book, the sash has a long and storied history with City.

Historically seen on away kits, this iconic City style makes its home debut for the 2025/26 season, creating a connection to the past with a futuristic design, bridging the gap between different generations of City fans.
