Deco drops hint on Barcelona’s summer transfer plans | OneFootball

Barcelona sporting director has on Tuesday dropped something of a hint regarding the club’s plans for the upcoming summer transfer window.

This comes amid the suggestion that the Blaugrana are ready to seek out reinforcements out wide with a view to next season.

Barcelona’s wingers have of course proven themselves some of world football’s very best this season.

All told, across all competitions, the explosive pairing of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have directly contributed to a staggering 99 goals.

Evidently, though, Hansi Flick and co. are of the opinion that Barca do not boast sufficient cover for their two star wide-men.

Speaking during an interview with ESPN on Tuesday, the aforementioned Deco was asked about the Blaugrana’s plans for the summer ahead.

And the club’s sporting director, in quotes relaid by Fabrizio Romano, went on to explain:

“We feel a lot of dependency on Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. Maybe we need players with similar profiles to give us more options in those areas.”
