There was a time when Manchester City were football's ultimate punchline.
Long before Pep Guardiola's all-conquering juggernaut swaggered to the game's biggest honours, they were languishing in the doldrums of the English pyramid.
The Blues dropped into the third tier in a period that supporters would often lament as 'Typical City' and their manager at the time Joe Royle even dubbed 'Cityitis'.
But the way they bowed into what is now League One has gone down in folklore.
In a relegation six-pointer against QPR back in 1998, midfielder Jamie Pollock scored possibly the best executed own goal captured by television cameras.
It really has to be seen to be believed.
Pollock's misfortune was compounded by the fact the goal helped keep QPR while condemning City to the drop with just one game of the season remaining.
Have you seen a better own goal than this? Let us know in the comments.
