Tijjani Reijnders is now only a few steps away from becoming a new Manchester City player, as Pep Guardiola’s side are closing in on an agreement with Milan over a permanent transfer in the summer window.
Despite putting pen to paper on a new contract extension in March, tying him to the club until 2030, Reijnders is now close to bidding farewell to San Siro.
Man City are keen to bring Reijnders on board in time for the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off in mid-June, at the request of head coach Guardiola.

Man City had an initial €60m bid turned down by Milan in May, with the Rossoneri holding out for a fee in the region of €80m. The two clubs could shake hands on a total package in the region of €75m, potentially including bonuses.
With the addition of a few extra bonuses, Man City could seal a deal for Reijnders in the imminent future.
Man City are able to offer Reijnders a significant increase in wages from the €3.5m he reportedly earns on his current deal, and are also able to offer Champions League football, while Milan have not qualified for any UEFA competitions next season.
