The Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter Milan to make up for their December postponed will be played on Thursday, February 6th.
This is confirmed by the Lega Serie A, via FCInterNews. They have confirmed the dates and times for all of Inter’s league matches during the month of February.
The makeup match against Fiorentina has been hanging over Inter’s season in recent weeks.
The two teams had kicked off a Serie A match at the start of December.
However, that match had to be postponed. The reason was a medical emergency for Viola midfielder Edoard Bove.
After Bove had collapsed on the pitch, the players and staff for both teams decided that they could not play on. Therefore, the fixture had to be postponed.
Inter and Fiorentina have therefore both had a game in hand on the rest of the league.
This has been something of an asterisk in the Nerazzurri’s season. In the title race, they are three points behind Napoli – but can catch up if they’re to win their match away to Fiorentina.
February always looked likely to be the month when Fiorentina and Inter would squeeze in the postponed match.
Both teams have avoided playoff rounds in their respective European competitions.

Therefore, the teams and the league have manage to find a date that works for the makeup fixture.
Inter will travel to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday, February 6th. The match will kick off (beginning in the seventeenth minute, when it had initially been abandoned) at 20.45 CET.
Then, by coincidence, Inter’s next match is also against Fiorentina. They host the Tuscans at the San Siro.
The Lega Serie A has scheduled that match for Monday, February 10th at 20.45 CET.
The Nerazzurri’s next Serie A match is away to Juventus in the Derby d’Italia. That match will kick off at 12.30 on Sunday, February 16th.
Lastly, Inter host Genoa in Serie A on Saturday, February 22nd, at 20.45 CET.
