Barcelona moved a step closer to securing the league title after a narrow and entertaining 4-3 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid this evening.
It was a fantastic display of quality and strength from the Catalans, who came back from an early 2-0 deficit to finish the game 4-3.
The win meant Barcelona are now just one more win away from securing the league title. But the three points have also helped the Catalans make it four out of four against Real Madrid this season.
Indeed, Barcelona have now beaten Real Madrid four times in a single season, a feat they had only achieved once before – in the 1982/83 campaign.
With this victory, Hansi Flick joins an elite group of Barça managers to dominate El Clasico so completely.
The German tactician has masterminded wins in both league clashes, as well as victories in the Supercopa and Copa del Rey – something no one could have imagined at the start of the season.

It’s a rare achievement that has eluded even some of the greatest coaches in the club’s history, including Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique.
The result also marked the first time since the 2018/19 season, under Ernesto Valverde, that Barcelona have won both home and away league matches against Real Madrid in a single campaign.
While the title isn’t officially wrapped up yet, a win on Thursday could be enough to help Barcelona secure the league title and complete a double.
The only missed opportunity for the Catalans this season was the Champions League semifinal against Inter Milan.
