Former NAC Breda prospect Luc Marijnissen moves to FCV Dender

FCV Dender will strengthen their ranks with Luc Marijnissen. The club that plays at the highest level in Belgium has reached an agreement with second division Lierse SK about a transfer for the talented 22-year-old central defender.

The Dutchman recently extended his contract until 2027, but the Pallieters realised that it would be difficult to keep him, given the interest from the first division.

Dender was the most concrete option and wants to pay around 300,000 euros for Marijnissen, who is expected to undergo medical tests early next week.

Two years ago, he made the move to Lierse from NAC Breda, but now a step higher awaits. NAC will receive 10 per cent of the fee due to a sell-on clause in the previous deal.
