As we get closer to the summer transfer window, things are picking up pace in the Celtic rumour mill. The club have been linked with some players who have been on their radar for a while, like Mathias Kvistgaarden, alongside those who have already played for them in the past, like Kris Ajer and Odsonne Edouard.

Some new names have cropped up on the Celtic rumour mill as well though. One of them is that of Kalidou Sidibe, who currently plays in the French second division.

Of course, many fans will raise their eyebrows at the idea of Celtic signing a player from Ligue 2 to fill a position of need. But Sidibe, standing at 6 feet 7 inches, certainly has a unique profile and one that the Hoops could do with owing to their lack of size in the middle of the park.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are looking to strengthen their midfield options during the summer transfer window. Sidibe could be an option for the Scottish giants.

Sidibe currently plays for Guingamp. He is believed to be the tallest player in Ligue 2 at the moment and a commanding presence in the middle of park, as you would expect from someone of his stature.

Sidibe was actually a part of the PSG youth ranks at one point in time. But he was not successful in making it to the senior level for the French giants.

It remains to be seen if Celtic do end up making a transfer bid for the Frenchman. There have been suggestions that they are preparing one in the region of €2 million. Some sources have even claimed that an offer has already been made to sign the defensive midfielder from Guingamp in the summer.
