Francesco Farioli is unlikely to be without a club for long after his departure from Ajax. In fact, it may even be just a few weeks. According to media outlets like Sky Sports (both the English and Italian version), Mediaset and La Repubblica, we can expect news soon.

Farioli’s future reportedly most likely lies in Serie A or the Premier League, although Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen was also mentioned as a destination at one point. That said, Xabi Alonso’s old bosses are said to be exploring other options – including Erik ten Hag.

AS Roma are alleged to be angling for the services of the former Ajax coach, although in Italy, a move to England is considered more logical. TEAMtalk has already linked Farioli to Tottenham Hotspur, however, that was before the North London club won the Europa League under Ange Postecoglou.

Gianluca Di Marzio told SoccerNews a while ago about Farioli: “If he leaves Ajax, he could end up in the Premier League. Several Premier League clubs are interested in him. He has a lot of good ideas, which he can also convey. Because he is a star in communication.”
