Milan have reportedly secured a deal for Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, with the player expected to travel to Italy on Saturday to undergo medicals and sign a contract with his new club.

The Rossoneri have been working intensively in recent days to bring the Mexico international to the San Siro, as negotiations started to advance rapidly after the club decided to open talks to sell Alvaro Morata to Galatasaray.
Milan were said to be close to striking an agreement with the Eredivisie giants on Friday, after raising their offer to €32m, but they needed to fix some details before completing the deal.
However, both Gianluca Di Marzio and La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Saturday morning that Feyenoord gave the green light to the striker’s departure, meaning the 23-year-old will make his trip to Italy later today to complete the last steps required before being officially announced as a new Milan player.

The Rossoneri were drawn with Feyenoord in their Champions League knockout phase play-off, with Gimenez likely to immediately face his former side to help the Diavolo secure qualification for the last-16.
