‘He looked like he’s just come out of the academy’ – Ex-Man Utd star blasts Rasmus Hojlund after woeful performance v Chelsea

Manchester United suffered a demoralising 1-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, a ground on which they have failed to win in their last 12 away games.
Man Utd mustered just one shot on target against the Blues.
Former Man Utd midfielder Roy Keane blamed their inability to test Chelsea on striker Rasmus Hojlund, criticising him for his subpar attacking contributions.
Hojlund won only two of his 11 duels, completed only one dribble and lost possession 13 times in a woeful display, leaving Keane unimpressed.
Keane said (via Sky Sports): “They’ve got no striker. Hojlund against Chelsea looked like he had just come out of the academy. His runs were not right. His timing. The hold-up play.”
Keane admitted that Hojlund needs some quality service, but reiterated that he is not doing enough for Man Utd.
The club has a long history of strikers who can create magic for and by themselves. Hojlund needs to step up.
Man Utd gave Hojlund two seasons to prove his mettle, and he has underwhelmed. The club needs to sign a proper upgrade this summer.
The Red Devils are interested in signing Ipswich Town man Liam Delap, who has netted 12 Premier League goals this term.
However, United should be aiming higher. The Reds need an experienced, battle-hardened forward with a history of spearheading teams to titles.
Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen should be top of the Man Utd transfer list after leading Galatasaray to the domestic double with 35 goals – the most by a foreign player in Turkey.
This comes two years after he led Napoli to their first Serie A title in three decades. That kind of ceiling-raiser is what Man Utd need in their ranks.
United’s attack is crying out for a proven, elite-level striker who can carry the weight of expectations and deliver when it matters most. Osimhen fits the bill.
