An insight into the stance of the brass at Spanish football’s two biggest clubs when it comes to the potential signing of Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has been forthcoming online.

And the news will no doubt come as a source of disappointment for fans of either club holding out hope of the German’s summer arrival.

The name of midfielder Kimmich has of course found itself centre stage in the headlines across all of Europe over the last 24 hours.

This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that Bayern Munich had made the call to rescind their contract renewal offer to the 30-year-old.

Kimmich, as things stand, is therefore all set to depart the Allianz Arena on a free transfer.

News of as much gave rise to immediate chatter in Spain, amid long-standing speculation linking Kimmich with both Barcelona, and Real Madrid.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then a move to one of La Liga’s two leading clubs is in fact not on the table.

As confirmed by Diario Sport, neither Barca nor Real have any interest in signing Kimmich for next season. Both clubs have already ruled the operation out.
