The Red Dragons are interested in signing the left-back as they prepare for the Championship next season.
Wrexham have already been linked with Premier League players following their promotion to the Championship.
The Red Dragons finished second in League One at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, meaning that they will play in the second tier of English football for the first time since 1982 next season.
It has been a remarkable rise through the divisions for the Welsh club over the last few years, albeit with significant financial backing, and now that they have made it to the Championship, it seems as though Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds will once again show ambition during the summer transfer window.
Wrexham have been linked with a few players that spent this season in the Premier League since their promotion from League One was confirmed, with TalkSPORT reporting earlier this month that the club had offered Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney £50,000 per week to move to the Racecourse Ground, although Humphrey Ker has dismissed that speculation.
Another experienced top flight player that Wrexham have been linked with is West Ham United left-back Aaron Cresswell, as per Alan Nixon via his Patreon. The 35-year-old is set to leave the London Stadium at the end of his contract this summer, so he could potentially be tempted to finish his career in Wales.
With that in mind, let's take a look at how much money the England international has been earning at West Ham.
Cresswell has been at West Ham since he joined the club from Ipswich Town in 2014. He has racked up more than 300 Premier League appearances, earned three England caps, and experienced European success during his time in East London, so his level of experience suggests he could make a real impact for Wrexham next term.
According to the estimated data available on Capology.com, Cresswell has been earning £50,000 per week at the London Stadium, so it may take an impressive offer to convince him to drop into the Championship this summer.
The left-back has apparently been earning that amount, which works out at £2.6 million a year, since the 2019/20 season, so he is unlikely to settle for any major pay cut, especially considering that 34-year-old Cairney was reportedly offered £50,000 weekly.
Given that he has played for England and has been an established Premier League player for more than a decade, it would be no surprise if Cresswell had options this summer, so it will be interesting to see whether Wrexham are able to convince him to join their project.
Wrexham's rapid rise from the National League to the Championship has seen the club bring in plenty of experienced professionals that have played at higher levels, so it would make sense for them to be interested in a player like Cresswell as they prepare for the Championship.
The likes of Steven Fletcher, James McLean and Jay Rodriguez have all played in the top flight during their careers, and contributed to the Red Dragons' success in League One this season.
There is no doubt that the club will need to find a balance between youth and experience as they recruit for the second tier this summer, but signing Cresswell could be seen as a statement of intent, if they can manage to strike a deal with a player who has received £50,000 for the last five seasons.
