Inter Milan are targeting Sam Beukema, Jhon Lucumi, Koni De Winter, and Giovanni Leoni to shore up their defense.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Inter have their shortlist ready after yesterday’s humiliating loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
It would be fair to say that Inter Milan’s defense was not up to the task against Paris Saint-Germain yesterday.
The Nerazzurri conceded an eye-watering five goals, looking vulnerable from first minute to last in the Champions League final.
It would hardly be fair to just blame the defenders for this calamity. The Nerazzurri team as a whole looked a shockingly weak defensive unit.
However, at the same time, there remains a sense that the performance exposed the aging Inter backline.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter are now very much ready to move in the transfer market.
The futures of veteran duo Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij are, putting it mildly, uncertain.
Moreover, the Corriere note that Inter would be ready to listen to offers for Yann Bisseck. This could be the right time for them to sell the German for a huge profit.
Particularly if Bisseck goes, Inter will have to shore up their backline.
And the Corriere names four players as major targets in this regard.
Firstly, there are two Bologna defenders right near the top of Inter’s list. Sam Beukema and Jhon Lucumi have both impressed the Nerazzurri.
Then, Inter’s interest in Genoa defender Koni De Winter is no secret.
Lastly, the Corriere reports, Inter could also move for Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.
Inter had already attempted to sign Leoni from Sampdoria last summer. Instead, the teenage defender joined Parma.
But after an outstanding debut campaign in Serie A, Leoni remains a major target for Inter.
