Inter Milan Star Drops Hint On Future: ‘I’ve Been Here Three Years, I’m Happy Here – Let’s See What Happens’ | OneFootball

Kristjan Asllani says that he’s “happy” at Inter Milan having been at the club for three years.

The Albanian spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, after yesterday’s Serie A win over Torino. He added that “we’ll see what happens” as far as his future goes.

Midfielder Kristjan Asllani joined Inter Milan from Empoli in the summer of 2022.

The Albanian was only nineteen years of age when he arrived at the Nerazzurri.

Inter had signed Asllani as a player for the long-term future. The hope was that he would be able to back up Marcelo Brozovic, then Hakan Calhanoglu, and then eventually inherit the starting spot in holding midfield.

So far, the latter has not happened for Asllani.

The 22-year-old has had his opportunities. But overall, he has hardly been a player who Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has regularly relied upon in big matches.

The relative lack of playing time – particularly as a starter – has led to some speculation about Asllani’s future.

And there would be no lack of transfer interest should Kristjan Asllani leave Inter.

Reportedly, the likes of Bournemouth and Fiorentina are both keen on the Albanian international.

However, the player himself is not in any hurry to leave.

Asllani commented that “I’ve been here for three years.”

“I’m happy to be here,” said the 22-year-old. “Then we’ll see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Asllani also commented on Inter’s win over Torino yesterday. “We have a desire to win every match,” he said.

“We’re happy to have played such a good much.”

And of Inter’s victory over Barcelona Asllani said that “We won an important, and difficult match.”

“Now we have to work. There’s less and less time until the final.”

“But for now let’s focus on the league,” the former Empoli midfielder added. “It’s not over, we have to stay in touch at the top.”

“Then if Napoli win all their matches congratulations to them.”
