Legendary former Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso feels that Simone Inzaghi is “a coach of the highest level.”
The Argentine spoke on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. He had lavish words of praise for the current Nerazzurri coach.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has certainly established a top reputation for himself over the last decade.
The 48-year-old has been in senior coaching since 2016, when he took over at Lazio.
And after five years in charge of the Biancocelesti, Inzaghi became Inter Milan coach.
And it has been at the Nerazzurri that Inzaghi’s reputation has really grown.
Inzaghi has guided Inter to the Serie A title, as well as five other pieces of domestic silverware. Meanwhile, he took Inter to the Champions League final in 2023.
And this season, the Nerazzurri are very much fighting on all fronts.
Inter have a tough battle with Napoli and Atalanta to retain their league title. And in the Coppa Italia, the Nerazzurri face AC Milan next month in the semifinals.
Also next month, Inter have a two-legged quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Legendary former Inter and Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Cambiasso said that “everyone who works in football perceives [Inzaghi] as a coach of the highest level.”
“Those who don’t, and who only follow football on the television or read the newspapers, have a lower perception of him,” continued the Argentine.

“Because he keeps a low profile.”
“That’s just the way that Inzaghi is built,” Cambiasso suggested.
“He’s a character who doesn’t like to be in front of the cameras. He doesn’t like being on the front page, and he prefers that the players be in the headlines instead.”
But Cambiasso insisted that “People in football know just how good he is.”
“It’s just outside that world that he’s not perceived at that level.”
