Simone Inzaghi admits that Inter Milan had “a very bad week” but says there’s “still confidence for the end of the season.”

The Nerazzurri coach spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after the Nerazzurri’s 0-1 Serie A loss against Roma yesterday.

Inter Milan haven’t just lost three matches in a row for the first time this season.

The Nerazzurri have not scored against any of Bologna, AC Milan, or Bayern Munich.

Moreover, Inter’s defeats over the past week have severely dented their hopes for silverware come the end of the season.

Inter are out of the Coppa Italia after losing 0-3 to their city rivals AC Milan in a semifinal second leg.

Moreover. the Nerazzurri have surrendered any advantage they once had over Napoli in the Serie A title race with consecutive losses in the league for the very first time, against Bologna and Roma.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi said that now Inter must focus on “our principle, the desire to play together that these guys have always had.”

“What’s allowed us to do everything we’ve done.”

“Now we need to try and understand what’s happened this week,” the Nerazzurri coach went on.

“We haven’t gotten positive results.”

“But that’s football,” said Inzaghi. “So we need to try and move forward with a lot of confidence.”

“Into the two Champions League matches. And into the last few league matches.”

Meanwhile, Inzaghi said that facing Barcelona in the Champions League can “absolutely” help the team regain some mental energy.”

“We need to get back energy,” the Inter coach added. “Because we have a very important match.”

“We’re in the last four in Europe,” Simone Inzaghi noted. “And we need to do our best to try and play the matches that we have left to play at our best.”
