“Lamine Yamal deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year. He’s been the best player in the world this season, that’s absolutely clear. Lamine’s level has earned him the Ballon d’Or.”

With the way he performed yesterday, it is hard to argue against Jorge Mendes on this point. Lamine Yamal was the player with the most shots, most shots on target, most chances created, most dribbles, and the most ball recoveries in this crucial La Liga game, which goes on to show how important a player he has gone to become for Hansi Flick.
