José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe have ‘total confidence’ in January deal for Barcelona star | OneFootball

Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahçe are ready to return to the table for Barcelona star Ansu Fati this coming January.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have confirmed that Fener have set their sights firmly on the signature of the out-of-favour Spanish starlet.

This comes at the direct request of manager José Mourinho, who also sought out Ansu’s services during the summer.

Ansu, for his part, is in the midst of a disappointing opening to the campaign, a combination of fitness problems and competition for places having restricted the 21-year-old to a trio of substitute appearances under the watch of new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick.

With Raphinha and Lamine Yamal having all but locked down the flanks in the Blaugrana’s squad, this situation looks unlikely to improve all that much for Ansu, either.

Fenerbahçe, as a result, are ready to offer the young attacker a way out, with the promise of a prominent role for the 2nd half of the season.
