After enduring one of the most miserable campaigns in the club’s history, only three Manchester United players are considered unsellable.

The Red Devils started the campaign on a poor note under the guidance of Erik ten Hag who received his marching orders in October.

Following a brief spell under caretaker coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ruben Amorim took the reins in November, but based on his recent comments, he probably wishes he had trusted his gut by refusing to take over in the middle of the campaign.

The 40-year-old publicly expressed his willingness to step aside if the management no longer wants him, while waiving any financial remuneration.

The Portuguese failed to turn the club’s fortunes in his maiden campaign at Carrington. In fact, United continued to plummet in the league table, now lying in a shocking 16th place, while the attempts to salvage something out of the campaign by winning the Europa League proved futile, with Spurs prevailing in the final.

Between the dire need to raise funds and the desire to send away underperforming players, Man Utd could be bracing themselves for a summer exodus.

So according to Manchester Evening News journalist George Smith, the vast majority of first-team players find themselves in vulnerable positions. In other words, they can be sold for the right offer.

On the other hand, Smith only names three stars who are deemed untouchable, beginning with Leny Yoro who has been making important strides as of late.

Yoro, Amad & Bruno considered ‘untouchable’

The French defender is only 19, and has already proven he has all the makings of a world-class central defender.

The second name on the list is Amad Diallo who has been the club’s most impactful attacker this season, as illustrated by his exploits in some of the big clashes, particularly against Man City and Liverpool.

Finally, despite being heavily linked with the exit door, Bruno Fernandes is still considered ‘untouchable’, as United are unlikely to find a replacement capable of filling his shoes. The club captain produced 19 goals and as many assists this season.
