Fiorentina have triggered their obligation to buy clause in their loan deal with Juventus for Nicolo Fagioli, which means that the Bianconeri will profit to the tune of around €13.5m.
Fiorentina finished the 2024-25 Serie A season in sixth place, which was enough to secure qualification to next season’s Conference League.
Qualification for the Conference League has also triggered the obligation to buy clause in Fiorentina’s deal with Juventus for Fagioli, SportMediaset confirms.
That means that the Viola will be obliged to pay a fee of €13.5m plus up to €3m in bonuses to sign seven-time Italy international on a permanent basis. Fiorentina have already paid €2.5m in loan fees to have him on board for the second half of the 2024-25 season.

That means that if all bonuses are activated, Fiorentina will have paid a total sum of €19m to sign Fagioli permanently from Juventus.
Having joined the Bianconeri as a teenager in 2015, this will be Fagioli’s first permanent move away from the club, having made 69 senior appearances across all competitions, including 52 games and three goals in Serie A.
Fagioli immediately became a mainstay in the Fiorentina set-up after joining on loan in the winter transfer window, appearing in all 15 Serie A matches that he was available for, and started in five out of the team’s six Conference League fixtures after his arrival.
