It’s Paris Saint-Germain’s first season without Kylian Mbappe and the capital club is performing like a well-oiled machine. Nonetheless, with the Frenchman back in France, the media in the country will get a reaction out of him.
Since the calendar turned to 2025, PSG have been performing at an amazing level under manager Luis Enrique, which has culminated in impressive results against Manchester City and Liverpool.
Now, the Parisians will face Aston Villa and the Premier League side are the only club stopping them from reaching the semifinal for a second straight season. Moreover, it’s without Mbappe, which for some, is more impressive.

The FIFA break has started, and players are reporting to the France national team, including Mbappe, as Les Bleus will face Croatia in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals. Nonetheless, the Real Madrid standout was asked whether he believes PSG are better off without him, and he chose not to engage.
“It’s not something that worries me,” Mbappe told Le Parisien (h/t Paris Fans). “I watch all football matches, including PSG’s, of course. I really wish them the best. But I’m focused on Real Madrid and the historic treble we can achieve.
“It’s something Real Madrid has never done before, so accomplishing it in my first season would be truly extraordinary. I try not to think about anything else so I can give 150 percent to Real and bring home those trophies.”
Mbappe and Real Madrid can face PSG should both sides advance past their opponents in the quarterfinals.
