Believe it or not with our senior squad's Premier League position, LCFC actually have some really good young players on their roster. The Leicester City Academy has produced some fine stars over recent years: Ben Chilwell, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Harvey Barnes being chief among them. City obviously sold the former Foxes trio for huge respective profits as well as benefitting from their efforts.

Other starlets are attempting to break through at King Power Stadium too. Some you'll have heard of, while other up-and-coming Leicester footballers are less well-known. For example, you might perhaps know Henry Cartwright. Cartwright has been in and around the LCFC first team but has not made his debut just yet. Meanwhile Jayden Joseph and Jake Evans are also on the up.

Another promising City athlete is Will Alves; most of the plugged-in members of the Blue Army will be well aware of him. The fan base expects eventual big things from the local lad. The 19-year-old first featured for the east Midlands outfit exactly two years ago.

However, a different name is emerging as possibly Leicester's most highly thought of youth prospect. Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy insists 'the whole world knows about' this talent. And the Foxes must now begin the quest to keep the 15-year-old in question.

Is Leicester City's Jeremy Monga the truth?

After Leicester's latest manager went to watch some academy matches, he made a positive assertion. Van Nistelrooy believes the ranks show a 'good picture' for the Foxes' future.

A pleasing assessment. In fact, the setup and assets at Seagrave Training Centre are so good that the ex-Manchester United man knows City must act in order to retain some players.

The boss singled Monga out as vital to keep. From what I've seen, the youngster- is an exceptional and special baller. And Van Nistelrooy is making it his personal mission to prevent an exit:

"Jeremy is a great talent that for me is a vital part of the future of this club. We’re looking to start conversations to keep him at the club. It’s important for me that that can work out. We’re planning that. We’re looking at his development, where he is now. He’s 15, he’s still in school, only on Thursdays is he available for training with us. So in that perspective, we have to see what’s best for him, and the pathway to the first team and senior football. We are presenting to him our thoughts and my thoughts on him. I think very highly of him and want him to be part of the long-term future of this club. (His talent’s been noticed) by the whole world. That’s why we have him with the first team where possible. That’s why conversations with him and his family will start soon. I will of course be talking with him and his family, presenting him a pathway that we think is best to get him into the first team."RvN
