Liverpool have announced the date and route of the club’s parade to celebrate the club’s Premier League title success this season.

Arne Slot’s side were crowned Premier League champions on Sunday after a 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield. The Reds have won the title with four games to spare, securing a record-equalling 20th top-flight crown. It’s just the club’s second league title in 35 years and first since 1990 to be won in front of fans.

Liverpool City Council have now invited the club to take part in a victory parade, that will take place on Monday 26th May.

The parade will take place on the Bank Holiday Monday, a day after Liverpool’s final fixture of the Premier League season. Slot’s side will receive the Premier League trophy against Crystal Palace a day before the parade.

Liverpool have confirmed the 15km route on the club’s official website. The route will follow the same route as parades held in 2019 and 2022.

Councillor Liam Robinson, The Leader of Liverpool City Council, said: “We’re delighted to officially invite Liverpool Football Club to parade around the city on May 26. A Liverpool victory parade is more than football – it’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion and community spirit.

“A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes in preparation for an event of this size and scale. There has already been months of careful planning taking place as the Team Liverpool approach – which we saw work so well throughout Eurovision – comes to the fore again.

“It’s set to be an unforgettable Bank Holiday weekend as we give the team the celebration they deserve.”
