Liverpool are said to be "relaxed" about the contract situations of both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, who are days away from entering the final six months of their respective contracts.
The two stars remain among the finest around right now but are watching their current deals inch closer and closer to expiring, with both Van Dijk and Salah free to discuss contracts with clubs overseas as early as January.
However, as noted by The Times, Liverpool are well aware that the strict January deadline is almost always exploited behind the scenes, with both Van Dijk and Salah already likely to be aware of the offers on the table from elsewhere.
Those in charge believe the duo both want to remain at Liverpool despite the interest in their services, with Anfield chiefs not concerned that negotiations could drag on for the next few months.
Offers have been made to both players and Liverpool will continue talks with Van Dijk and Salah in the hope of sealing two blockbuster contract extensions.
However, that same confidence is not shared when it comes to right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract is also winding down.
Reports in Spain that Alexander-Arnold has communicated a desire to join Real Madrid have been rejected by the Liverpool ECHO, but there is an acceptance that talks with the defender are different to those involving Van Dijk and Salah because Alexander-Arnold is only 26 years old and still has a significant career left ahead of him.
