With no chance for bad luck, Liverpool are very close to securing their early Premier League title after a 1-0 win against relegated Leicester, taking them to 79 points, 13 points clear of second-placed Arsenal. With that, the Reds need just one win to secure the title.
Despite this, the game was very fast-paced at the King Power Stadium from the first minute, with both teams looking to score and having real chances to trouble their opponents. However, after Salah and Nididi missed their main chances, the game became less intense, with the action only becoming more intense again just before half-time with Liverpool posing a lot of danger through Gakpo, Konaté and Salah.

Arne Slot's side improved their attacking intensity considerably after half-time and took complete control of the action. Szoboszlai almost celebrated his goal, but Hermansen made a great save in the 48th minute. And soon afterwards, Luís Díaz stayed in the area to hit a precise pass for Tsimikas to hit a fine shot, but the Leicester goalkeeper was great again.
After a lot of pressure and total control, Liverpool finally found the winning goal in the 76th minute. Tsimikas put the ball into the box and Salah hit the post, but Diogo Jota then got hold of the ball and hit the crossbar. But in an incredible turn of events, the Leicester defense failed to clear the ball and Alexander-Arnold smashed home to all but confirm Liverpool's title.
Liverpool have had a very consistent season in the Premier League and have kept a tight grip on their emotions to prevent the impact of their Champions League quarter-final exit to PSG from jeopardizing their title chances. Arsenal tried to react this season in the final stretch, but it was too late to prevent Arne Slot from securing a special title in his first season as Jurgen Klopp's replacement.
