Milan captain Mike Maignan believes he and his teammates must not feel too much pressure in a Coppa Italia Final against Bologna: ‘What happened before doesn’t matter anymore.’
The French keeper joined coach Sergio Conceiçao for a pre-match press conference at the Olimpico in Rome.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14, the Rossoneri meet Bologna in the Coppa Italia Final.
“We are so hungry because we want to bring this trophy home, for all Milan fans, and we know how important it is to play finals and win trophies for Milan,” Maignan said via SempreMilan.
“We know that tomorrow is an important day for this season, for this moment, also for Milan because we can write a page in the history of the club. But we must not have too much pressure, we must keep our cool, which has allowed us to get to today.

“We are focused on giving our best tomorrow, but without playing another game that we know how to play,” Maignan continued.
“I always have confidence, whether we play with two, three, one. I always have confidence in my teammates. There are moments when the wind turns in our favourite and even if we put nine players at the back the wind blows against us we can concede goals.
“Now we are in a good moment and we have to take advantage and continue like this because it hasn’t always been like this.”
The Rossoneri have already won the Supercoppa this season, but sit 8th in the Serie A table.
“Honestly, everything that happened before doesn’t matter anymore,” noted Maignan.
“Only tomorrow matters, and tomorrow we have to be focused on this match, not thinking about the past, not thinking about what we did 3 days ago, not thinking about the matches that are coming up against Roma and Monza.
“We just have to think about tomorrow’s match. It is certain that if we win it is positive, so the only objective is to think about what we can manage tomorrow.
