FC Barcelona have set their sights on a move for Manchester United winger. Marcus Rashford, who appears set to leave the Premier League club this month.
The 27-year-old has had issues with new manager Ruben Amorim and has been in and out of the squad of late, with an exit now seeming a very realistic possibility.
Alerted by the development, Barça have decided to go all out for Rashford, to secure his services on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The return to the 1:1 spending rule and the temporary relief with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor’s registrations have further emboldened the Blaugrana to move for the versatile forward.
Building on that, journalist Jordi Cardero reports that Marcus Rashford is attracted by the prospect of playing for Barcelona even though he has a plethora of other clubs chasing him.
Indeed, teams like AC Milan, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and AS Monaco are all vying to sign the 27-year-old Man United star, but Barcelona’s interest appears to have caught his attention.

The Catalans’ sporting director, Deco, has identified the need for a left winger to strengthen the squad further despite Raphinha’s solid performances and leadership in the dressing room.
The former Portuguese international views Rashford as an ideal fit. Discussions between the club and the forward’s representatives are expected to intensify next week, following the conclusion of the Spanish Super Cup.
However, Barça’s ability to bring Rashford in will hinge on generating revenue, with Ronald Araujo being seen as a potential outgoing transfer.
Once seen as a generational star for Manchester United and England, the 27-year-old’s stock has declined quite a bit in the past two seasons due to subpar performances and off-field issues.
However, Rashford’s profile remains attractive to Barcelona – who already tried to sign him once back in 2018 – both financially and in terms of footballing needs.
With the player also intrigued by the idea of moving to Barça, a loan move might well materialise, provided the Catalan club free up salary space.
