Ruben Amorim says none of Manchester United’s injured players are set to return for the game against Ipswich Town.
Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, Mason Mount, Altay Bayindir and Jonny Evans have all been absent of late, along with Amad and Lisandro Martinez who are both set to miss the rest of the season.
And speaking ahead of Wednesday’s game, Amorim said his squad is still in the same shape as it was for the 2-2 draw with Everton last time out.
“We have the same team,” he said. “They are improving but nobody is going to be recovered for this game.”
United came back from two goals down to draw with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday but Amorim was again left disappointed with the performance from his team.
Home form has been a particular problem during his tenure, losing five of their last six at Old Trafford.
But the United boss has urged his side to put their problems behind them when they face struggling Ipswich.
“Since I arrived, I expect to win all the games at home,” he said. “I don’t feel the pressure because I don’t feel it – the supporters are amazing.
“Every time you go to Old Trafford you feel the support until the end. I don’t feel the pressure and we have to stop and think about the last game. It’s a new game and it can be a new story.
It’s hard enough to win football matches. This year has been really hard for everybody because as a club we have had a lot of changes.
“If you have a football club that is playing well and winning games, it is easier for the fans and everybody to feel the changes. In this moment, we are in a difficult period inside the club and on the pitch.
“We have to do our job and try our best to help the team to perform better.”
