FC Barcelona are always looking to improve the team in any way that they possibly can. After all, taking on every single competition every year requires a lot of thoughtful planning. As such, players like Marcus Rashford and others have been linked to Barcelona in recent months.
The English winger is a player who has had his own troubles in recent seasons, especially when looking at his relationship with Manchester United. Due to their internal issues boiling over, Rashford was subsequently loaned to fellow Premier League side Aston Villa, and he has since improved in terms of his output significantly.
Now a key player for his new team, Rashford is proving to be impactful across various competitions as well. However, the 27-year-old winger reportedly does not wish to stay in England, neither with Aston Villa nor with Manchester United, and instead thinks that it is time for him to head on over to another major European league.
For the player, one such preferred destination of his would reportedly still be Barcelona. Moreover, it is a destination for which he would be willing to make certain sacrifices in order to force his move to the Catalan club if it is possible even in the slightest, as reported by SPORT.
Reportedly, he would be willing to make a big financial sacrifice and lower his salary to a point where it becomes feasible for Barcelona to have him. While other clubs have backed off from pursuing the player because of his salary, Barcelona would be one side for which he would be willing to take a hit for.

Moreover, the report suggests that he would also try to get Manchester United to lower his salary or even potentially agree to another loan spell if Barcelona are interested in his services. At the same, the Premier League side reportedly has a price tag of around €35 million attached to the English forward.
Interestingly, Barcelona were previously linked to Marcus Rashford as well during the January transfer window. However, the club ultimately decided to focus on their ongoing issues with player registrations and they preferred to guarantee certain player renewals first as well.
Moreover, as per our understanding of Barça’s thought process for the future, the signing of a new forward is not that high of a priority. First and foremost, the Catalan giants would look to renew important players and work is even reportedly being done to finalize Hansi Flick’s renewal.
Furthermore, even though Rashford’s talent is undeniable, Barcelona already have a great strike force at their disposal. In terms of output and goalscoring, this current Barça attack is already sitting alongside some of the greatest attacking partnerships that the club has ever had the privilege to witness.
