FC Barcelona tried hard to secure the signing of Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford on loan during the January transfer window.
However, the move could not go through due to the lack of Fair Play margin and the forward eventually ended up signing for Aston Villa on a temporary stint until the end of the season.
With his spell at Villa Park nearing an end, a move to Barça in the summer remains a priority for Rashford.
As such, Mundo Deportivo reports that Rashford has taken a strategic step in recent days to boost his chances of joining Barcelona next season.
With the Catalans on the lookout for a new left-winger, the 27-year-old Manchester United attacker is eager to make the switch to Catalonia.
In this context, Rashford has decided to entrust his representation to a highly experienced and well-connected agent, Pini Zahavi. The Israeli superagent, based in London, has strong ties with Barcelona.
Rashford is aware of Zahavi’s close relationship with Barça president Joan Laporta and believes that this connection could facilitate a move to the La Liga club.

It is worth noting two key facts: Zahavi also represents Barcelona coach Hansi Flick and striker Robert Lewandowski.
Additionally, as mentioned earlier, Barcelona explored the possibility of bringing in Rashford on loan during the previous winter transfer window, when he was offered to the club by a trusted intermediary.
Rashford is desperate to join Barcelona and sees it as a dream move. In fact, the Manchester United man is willing to lower his current wages in order to help facilitate a move to Catalonia.
The 27-year-old Englishman is currently on loan at Aston Villa, but his main priority remains joining the Blaugrana.
The most likely scenario would be a loan deal, as he is under contract with Man United until 2028 and does not fit into manager Ruben Amorim’s plans.
Sources close to the player indicate that initial conversations with Barcelona have already taken place. However, the club has stated that it is not discussing transfer matters at this stage.
