Alejandro Garnacho could be counting his final months at Manchester United because of his concerning attitude, as per reports.
Garnacho was again in the headlines on Wednesday, not for his performance against Ipswich Town but questionable reaction to Ruben Amorim’s decision just before the break.
The United head coach substituted the Argentine forward for defender Noussair Mazraoui in the first half after Patrick Dorgu received a red card.
Garnacho went straight to the dressing room after coming off, leading to Amorim facing questions over his behaviour in his post-match press conference after the Red Devils’ 3-2 win.
A report in Spain now suggests things are even more tense behind the scenes.
According to Fichajes, the 20-year-old’s attitude, both on and off the field, has “caused him problems in the dressing room.”
The Argentina international, who has eight goals and six assists this season, is still highly rated at Old Trafford but “the controversies surrounding him have caused his relationship with the coaching staff to deteriorate.”
It is claimed that his antics have “ended up exhausting the patience” of the board who are open to listening to offers for him.
Having already shown Marcus Rashford the exit door in the winter window due to the Englishman’s poor work ethic, Amorim is now prepared to part ways with Garnacho as well.
Napoli tried to sign the young winger in January and are understood to be at the front of the queue for his services ahead of next season.
However, it is not going to be easy for the Serie A giants to meet United’s demands and convince Garnacho to join their project this summer.
Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report suggesting the United star is looking to return to Spain to play for his boyhood club Atletico Madrid.
