Marseille have agreed to sign Red Bull Salzburg full-back Amar Dedic (22), according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international will arrive in Marseille this Sunday to undergo a medical with Les Phocéens. Dedic will be the third signing of Marseille this winter after centre-back Luiz Felipe and winger Amine Gouiri. The outlet understands that Marseille will pay Salzburg a minor €1,5m fee to sign Dedic on loan with a €10m option to make his move permanent until 2029.
Marseille were looking for defensive reinforcements to bolster Roberto De Zerbi’s options as right-back Amir Murillo mainly plays as a centre-back now. Dedic is a versatile full-back who can play on both sides. Dedic has featured 25 times this season with Red Bull Salzburg and logged six assists. L’Equipe understands that Marseille were also interested in Chelsea’s Renato Veiga, who eventually joined Juventus on loan.
Marseille have also enquired about Chelsea left-back Aaron Anselmino.
