Fikayo Tomori has ended up on the never-ending list of potential targets to restore the Juventus defense following Gleison Bremer’s injury. There’s no real substance to the rumors at this stage, but his future at Milan is starting to become uncertain due to his subpar start and recent demotion, Calciomercato informs.

The Englishman has had a few blunders early on and stayed on the bench in three of the last four matches. After losing Matteo Gabbia, Paulo Fonseca has elected to go with a new pairing altogether, Malick Thiaw and Strahinja Pavlovic, which has produced okay results. The ex-Chelsea man is back in the XI versus Real Madrid.

Tomori also paid the price for having a role in the debacle against Fiorentina, where he teamed up with Tammy Abraham to take a PK away from Christian Pulisic, who was the taker designated by the coach. In addition, he has rarely been great in the last six months.

The center-back is unlikely to be sold in January, but his spell at Milan might indeed end next summer if he doesn’t turn things around. The Rossoneri paid €34.4M to sign him from Chelsea back in 2021 after an initial loan. They’d settle for €20M to part ways with him.

He has struggled to recapture his form from their Scudetto season, also due to a couple of injuries, while a transition period under a new coach with different demands isn’t too odd. They shouldn’t be rash and should stick it out, as he’s still young-ish for a defender. Surely, they can’t send another quality center-back to Juventus unless the offer blows them away, which won’t be the case.
