Napoli are uninterested in a potential player-plus-cash offer from Manchester United for Victor Osimhen, regardless of which players are proposed.

Manchester United are among the clubs considering a summer deal for Osimhen, who is free to leave Napoli on a permanent basis.

The Nigeria international is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he has scored 20 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.

Osimhen joined the Turkish champions on loan for the campaign after talks over a permanent exit from Napoli broke down last summer, following his fallout with the Italian side.

Galatasaray are keen to keep hold of Osimhen but accept a deal is financially unfeasible. Osimhen has a release clause of €75m (£61.9m) in his contract with the Serie A side.

Manchester United are among a clutch of clubs chasing a deal, though the finances on offer for Ruben Amorim to spend appear unclear. The Red Devils are facing a second successive season outside of the Champions League, with co-owners Ineos having overseen financial cuts and wide-scale redundancies as part of a cost-cutting operation.

Amid potentially limited funds in the transfer market, United have been linked with player-plus-cash proposals in order to finance a deal for Osimhen.

Napoli were interested in a deal to sign Alejandro Garnacho from United in the January transfer window, while Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have also been mooted as potential options.

The latter duo impressed in Italian football previously at Atalanta and Bologna respectively, but have underwhelmed in the Premier League. Combined, the forwards have just five Premier League goals this season.

However, Italian journalist Emanuele Cammaroto is reporting that Napoli have no intention of accepting any players in part-exchange.

Antonio Conte’s side will demand the €75m release clause in full, leaving fellow suitors Chelsea in an advantageous position. PSG and Juventus have also been linked with a deal.
